Bournemouth School of British English is one of many English courses in Kota Jababeka Cikarang, West Java. Established in May 2010 we have grown into one of the most loved English courses in Cikarang. What makes Bournemouth different from other English courses? In this case we have to ask Bournemouth students. These are some of their testimonies.

Dicky Matius (16 years old) said: "I have ever joined other English courses for a few years, but it is at Bournemouth School of British English that I can speak English well. My teachers really help me to gain my self confidence. The class is not big... I mean there are not too many students in the classroom; so, I have more time to interact with my teacher."

Klara Febriana (12 years old): "There are five students in my class. My teacher treats me like her own younger sister. It is funny sometimes when we quarrel... but it's OK as we quarrel in English... and all quarrels always end in laughter... Ha..ha.. I have a humorous class."

Joko Umbaran Prawito (34 year old): "Saya baru mulai belajar di sini.

English Study Tips

English Study Tips for Kids and Their Parents
Exective summary about English for Children by Charmont Sodi

Kid whose parents take an active interest in their child's education will probably be much more likely to become successful language learners. This is why parents should get involved in their kids learning process.
Useful English Study Tips:

o Help your child access interactive websites on the internet especially relevant to young learners. There are tons of free and useful English websites for kids.
o Listen to English cassettes - for example music with English lyrics or storytelling.
Use English when the child is already familiar with the story. o Encourage children to read you any English stories you every day.
o Let your child teach you what they learned in class. Look at the pages in the book your child studied. o Put stickers around the house labeling objects students have recently learned. This helps to bring language alive and gives learners day-to-day exposure.
o Ask your child to copy new words ten times each. o Help your child make a 'personal dictionary'. o If parents can speak English encourage conversation when possible.
Students often personalize new words. Lilly might remember "doll", "skipping rope" while Tom remembers words like "dinosaur" or "robot".
o Foreign language learners often go through a 'silent phase' when beginning to learn a language. o Learners need to encounter language many times over a period of time before they 'know' it. The teacher will review words in the next lesson to help students remember.
Parents should make English learning as enjoyable as possible.

How to Teach a Child English One to One

By far the best approach for children for successful and fun one to one teaching is to use games and songs. If you teach using games children will love your private classes, and their parents will love you for the results you achieve. - Award your pupil 10 bonus points at the start of the game.

Time your pupil each round of a game and see if they can beat their previous time. If a young child does not finish in the required time it really upsets them and they will probably cry - and that is not the aim of the game. Watch the fun demo video on the Home English Teacher website for ideas on how to teach English to your children.

BOURNEMOUTH is happy to welcome the new year as 2012 is the year that gives hopes, more challenges and more opportunities. More and more people need English to master... and this is a great opportunity for Bournemouth, one of the best English courses in Kota Jababeka Cikarang.

English Course in Cikarang Moves on

Bournemouth School of British English is one of English courses in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java. Immediately after Idul Fitri holidays 2011, more new students join the course. Most of them are school students around Kota Jababeka. They have heard about Bournemouth from their friends and their friends' friends. Some of them take regular classes; they study twice a week; each lesson lasts for 60 minutes. Other students study three times a week as they want to have a more intensive programme that would help them to be able to use English better.

There have been some requests from student candidates who wish to study at weekends (Saturday and Sunday), but Bournemouth still cannot meet their demand as Bournemouth has not had enough teaching staff to cater for the need.

We are optimistic that Bournemouth, an English course in Cikarang, will be more well-known by the public so that we can serve more people. Teaching Your Child A Foreign Language

You would be amazed of how many children and youngsters speak one or two foreign languages fluently, especially those leaving in a non-English country. English is obviously extremely easy to learn, since children have contact with it all the time, through media, video games, the Internet, toys and so forth. Obviously, if you're reading this you've probably passed that "perfect language learning age", but if you have children of your own, it might be a good idea to give them the chance to start up on a foreign language while they are still at their learning best. It has been argued that the best period to introduce a foreign language to a child is in his firstyear of life.

At around age 2, your child enters the "vocabulary explosion" period. At kindergarten age, your kid will already be fluently speaking his mother tongue (maybe the languages of both parents in a bilingual home) so some parents choose to find him a specific kindergarten that focuses on a foreign language. You'll undoubtedly find kindergartens that teach in Spanish, French, German or English (for non-English parents of course) for natives of these languages or simply for parents that want to teach these languages to their children from a young age.
